The Linux Server Administration course is Designed for, students, IT Professionals who are new to Linux. This course will actively engage students in task focused activities, lab-based knowledge checks, and facilitative discussions to ensure maximum skill transfer and retention. In addition GUI-based Environment will be featured to build on the student’s existing technical knowledge, while command line concepts will be introduced to provide a foundation for students planning to become full time Linux system administrator.

· Configuration of static routes, packet filtering, and network address translation
· Setting kernel runtime parameters
· Building simple RPMs
· Configuring an iSCSI initiator
· Producing and delivering reports on system utilization
· Using shell scripting to automate system maintenance tasks
· Configuring system logging, including remote logging
· Configuring a system to provide networking services, including HTTP/HTTPS, FTP, NFS, SMB, SMTP, SSH, and NTP
